Andy Believes in Environmental Sustainability
The Green Candidate
Anyone who knows Andy knows about his passion for the outdoors.
His love of nature and wild animals started at an early age.
He is committed to limiting the spread of development into our open spaces which puts pressure on our wild animals and upsets the ecological balance.
Andy lives his commitment every day - his business is environmentally friendly.
He has passed his passion down to his children and to the many youth and adults he has taken on backpacking trips into the wilderness.
Andy is the genuine article when it comes to being green!
Wild Red Tail Hawk Release
Wild Red Tail Hawk Release
No matter what else Andy has going, he always has time for the care of wild animals, especially birds.
Andy has worked with a wild bird rescue for many years, helping to rehabilitate injured birds, especially raptors and it is his joy to release them to back to the wild once they are able to hunt successfully again.
This gorgeous Red Tail Hawk had been hit by a car and lost all her talons and spent 6 months recuperating with Andy until they grew back enough to allow her to hunt and use them for self defense.
Andy's empathy for our wild things will serve us all well as he sits on our Novato City Council!
A message of Support for our local police officers
Novato Safety
Novato crime has been in the news a lot lately.
Our City is lucky to have an incredible force of energetic officers who are eminently qualified.
They need to be. They are dealing with big time crime!
Recently, we've had shoplifting at Vintage Oaks and teens robbing teens at knifepoint.
Many of us have been personally impacted by property crime - vans stolen from driveways and countless catalytic converters ripped from cars.
Our officers do stellar work to solve these crimes, in spite of the fact that they are the lowest paid in the County.
We lose these talented police officers to surrounding towns whose crime statistics match ours, but where pay is up to a 1/3 higher.
The City must do more to keep these talented officers who provide us protection and security 24/7.
If elected, one of my first priorities will be to work with my fellow council members to balance our budget which currently has a $1.6 million dollar deficit.
One of the most important expenditures will be to increase pay for our talented police force.
You cannot put a price on safety.

A Thank You to all our supporters!
We are continually humbled to welcome new supporters from across the spectrum - from the arts community - Bill Gibson from Huey Lewis and the News, and the ranching community - Ralph and Dominic Grossi.
We also welcome Paul Thompson of Thompson Builders, Paul Price of Novato Kitchen and Baths and Maria Aguilar, Novato School Board Trustee to our supporters list.
Supporters are putting signs up all over District 2 and in business locations across Novato. They trust that Andy's only motivation for running for City Council is to serve:
To work to reduce our budget deficit with innovative ideas to bring in recurring revenue.
To keep our critical waterways and open spaces clean and protected.
To revitalize and promote Novato as a place to visit, shop and dine.
To support our peace officers as they work 24/7 to keep our city safe.
Andy's support is impressive not only because of the numbers but because it demonstrates his deep connection to the community.
We thank each and every one of them!
